Some spectacular
rock formations!
I like the look
of all the little holes on the rock
Same rock,
different view
Again with the
same rock, different view.
Showing the
rocks all lined up. |
In all the red
rock, there is this single white monolith.
Sheer rock
wall. At the top, the two parts create a natural bridge.
Such neat-looknig
formations!

"The GARDEN
OF THE GODS given to the city of Colorado Springs in 1909
by the children of Charles Elliott Perkins in fulfilment
of his wish that it be kept forever free to the public"

The plaque
rock from a distance.
Another part
of the plaque rock
Another view
of the climber
The rocks
from a distance
Another view...
I like the look of the clouds in the sky
Looks like
a piece of burnt wood in there...
There's a
climber up there somewhere...
But some areas
are just too dangerous.
Amazing how
those trees grow on the rocks. I wouldn't expect that
there would be enough soil
I'm sure to
most folks these are just rocks. But to me they are a
wonderful reminder of the beauty and power of nature.

"Balanced
Rock" I seem to remember hearing that this rock was
balance on a tiny point. Here, it looks like the rock
was cemented in place!
Still, it's
quite amazing that it doesn't fall down...
And there
it is again - Still standing!
